INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To load new Radius software, drag the file(s) to your system folder and restart. If you are running System 7.0 or newer, the system will automatically put the files into the appropriate sub-folders. Because this electronic distribution does not include an automated Installer, be sure to remove old versions of the software you are installing. Finally, restart the Macintosh to start using your new software.

CONTENTS OF THIS ARCHIVE
• RadiusWare, version 2.3.2, provides Screen Saver, Screen Capture, Cursor Beacon, Pop-up Bit-depth/Resolution Changer, and an Enlarged Menu Font for Radius display systems. The Pop-up Bit-depth Changer now includes a new resolution-switching feature for multi-frequency displays and interfaces. In addition, RadiusWare provides "on-the-fly" resolution switching without going into the Monitors control panel. Tear-off menus will operate only under System 6.0.7 or 6.0.8 systems. It is recommended that Enlarged Menu Fonts not be activated under System 7.1. The Cursor Beacon is not available on PowerBooks.

MACINTOSH SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Radius recommends that you operate with System version 7.1 or greater. However, Radius software will operate properly with Macintosh System 6.0.7 or higher.
The Radius software contained in this archive is compatible with:
• Macintosh II family
• LC series
• SE/30
• Centris series
• Quadra series
• PowerBook 160, 165, 165c, 180, 185c
• Duo 210 & 230 with MiniDock and DuoDock
If you are running System 6.0.7 or 6.0.8, Radius recommends that you use Apple's 32-Bit QuickDraw version 1.2 or later. 32-Bit QuickDraw can be installed into your System Folder by running the Apple Installer program on your Macintosh System Startup disk. If you have a Macintosh LC, LCII, LC III, IIsi, IIci, IIfx, Centris, Quadra, or PowerBook, 32-Bit QuickDraw is installed already in the Macintosh ROM (read-only memory). Under Systems 7.0, 7.0.1, and 7.1, 32-bit QuickDraw is a standard part of the system and is installed automatically.

MACINTOSH II COMPUTERS WITH REVISION-A ROMS
Early Macintosh II's that are equipped with Revision A ROMs are incompatible with most Radius interface cards. These ROMs are only found in Macintosh II computers manufactured before January 1988. Please contact your authorized Apple reseller for Macintosh upgrade information.

KNOWN INCOMPATIBILITIES
RadiusWare (v2.3.2)
-----------------
√ Aldus Persuasion is now incompatible with RadiusWare when used with a Radius VideoVision interface under System 6.0.7 or 6.0.8. This was a side effect of establishing QuickTime compatibility with RadiusWare under 6.0.7 or 6.0.8. Both QuickTime and Persuasion are compatible with RadiusWare under System 7 or later.
√ If Enlarged Menu Fonts are active, screen redraw becomes disabled when the "full screen" feature of Adobe Photoshop v2.5 is invoked. The workaround is to disable Enlarged Menu Fonts if this feature is commonly used.
√ The Radius Enlarged Menu Fonts should be set to OFF when using Timbuktu (v4.0.2), BeHierarchic (v1.0.5), and Kiwi Power Menus (v1.0).
√ The Cursor Beacon feature is not available on PowerBooks.
√ Claris Filemaker Pro "J" (Kanji version) crashes with RadiusWare when you close a new file. This problem WILL be fixed in the next release of RadiusWare. The workaround is to REMOVE RadiusWare from the System Folder; simply turning it off via the master switch appears ineffective.
